UA/ANA LAX-NRT-BKK $635 for 16,680 PQM @ 3.8 c/PQM

Hi, first ever MR post. So, sorry if this has been duplicated, I did try to search to see if this was posted and didn’t find it. Fare has been up for some time but thought this might help someone. If I’ve made an error or omission please feel free to point it out 🙂

LAX – NRT on UA metal (787), quick layover in NRT then NRT-BKK on ANA (777), all flights can be ticketed/marketed as UA booking into K class. As far as I can tell, should earn 100% PQM unless you find a flight that is marketed as ANA. RDM obviously another story now, but should be based off of $525 PQD which includes $125 base fare and $400 international UA surcharge . Dates are widely available August thru December, both quick turnarounds and long term stays (even over Xmas, New Years) are available. Some can be routed thru SFO for a few more miles. I can’t seem to upgrade the ANA operated flights. Can find some cheaper fares on non *A airlines.

Ua: Phl-sfo-las-iah-phl, $233.10.

Flights available March through May (almost EOS), with May a little more.

I couldn’t replicate on UA.com, so I used google.com/flights to find them, and then transferred to UA. It will show up as PHL-SFO-LAS-PHL, so you’d have to call in to split the LAS-IAH, IAH-PHL sections.

All of them seem to allow only same-day flights with a pretty short turnaround – I assume it has something to do with the fare rules (maybe a PHL-LAS RT?).

I didn’t calculate the PQMs, since it will vary based on Premier Status (SFO-LAS is less than 500 miles), and YMMV on getting agents to split the segments. But it is well within MR range for the ones I booked.

DFW-DTW-SFO-DTW-DFW on scattered weekdays late August through the end of the year, 6132 MQM for $236 ~3.8.

Also works in reverse, as an overnight, since it involves the red-eye out of SFO. Again, weekdays only. But SFO-DTW-DFW-MSP-SFO possible on some weekends for a slight hit, 5507 MQM for $236 ~4.3
